Since the beginning of 2024, changes have been introduced in Montenegro regarding the tax on the purchase of real estate. It is important for buyers to know how these changes will affect their financial obligations.

The amendments provide that the tax on the acquisition of real estate up to 150,000 euros will remain at 3%. However, for objects costing:

- From 150,001 to 500,000 euros, the tax will be 4,500 euros plus 5% of the amount over 150,001 euros.
- Over 500,001 euros, the tax will be 22,000 euros plus 6% of the amount over 500,001 euros.
